About us

Kendra & Marie is a singer-songwriter duo from Germany, near Cologne. Marie is the singer and Kendra plays guitar. Both were born in 2004.
"We are best friends since 2017 and we started making music together in 2020. First we played cover songs of bands and artists we liked, such as Green Day or Harry Styles. But soon after we started writing our own songs, trying to find beautiful melodies and topics that appeal to us.“
Kendra started teaching herself guitar at the end of 2019 after she had been taking piano lessons from the age of 11. Marie took piano lessons as a child for around 6 years and has been taking singing lessons since she was like 4.
"The minimalistic approach of only the voice and the acoustic guitar is exactly what it takes to create an atmosphere that is warm and fulfilling on its own. Keeping our music simple yet beautiful.
We recorded our songs in Kendra’s room. This helped making us aware of how we actually sound and what we can do to improve ourselves and our recordings.
We played living room concerts for our families and friends and gigs for up to 80 people.
In January 2022 we recorded our first singles ’Only a Song’ and 'Hear to Listen' at Teldex Studios in Berlin produced by Peter Schmidt and Peter Hinderthür.


After getting the chance of recording our two singles and having performed our original songs several times, we know that playing together is what we want to do."
